3T scanners are most useful for neurological, cardiac and some oncology pathways.

Scanner note

Which scanner strength is right for me?

ScanBook partner centres operate both 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla MRI scanners. For most musculoskeletal and routine abdominal studies, 1.5T is excellent. 3T is useful when your consultant specifically wants higher-resolution neurological, cardiac or oncology imaging.

Private MRI in the UK

MRI uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of soft tissue, joints, nerves and organs without ionising radiation.

ScanBook gives patients a cleaner booking path into private MRI centres, including routine musculoskeletal imaging and more advanced neurological or prostate workups.
